Welcome to Onar support. Onar is a private, contemplative dream journal: capture your dreams as text, voice, or sketch, reflect on recurring symbols, and map the places you visit in your own Dream World. Everything you write stays on your device.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Onar work?

Each entry is a single dream. Within an entry you can add blocks — write it as text, record your voice, or draw a sketch — and give it a mood, symbols, an optional title, and a color accent. Your entries collect in a Library you can browse as a book or a calendar, and the places you dream about can be added to your personal Dream World map. Onar is a journaling and reflection tool — it is not a medical or diagnostic tool.

Is my data private?

Yes. All of your data stays on your device and, if you enable iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. We do not collect or store any of your data, and the App uses no third-party analytics or trackers (App Privacy: Data Not Collected). Because we have no access to your entries, we cannot read or recover them for you — please keep iCloud enabled if you want a backup.

Voice transcription and languages

Voice recording is transcribed entirely on your device for privacy. Some languages require Apple's on-device dictation model to be installed. If transcription isn't available in your language, go to Settings ▸ General ▸ Keyboard (or Dictation) on your device, make sure your language is added, and try again.

Syncing across devices

Onar syncs through your private iCloud account, at no cost. Make sure both devices are signed in with the same Apple ID, that iCloud is enabled for Onar (Settings ▸ your name ▸ iCloud), and that you're connected to the internet. Syncing may take a little time on first launch.

Onar Premium (subscription)

Onar is free to use as a text dream journal, and any entry you've already created stays readable for free — forever, with no subscription. You can also use the Dream World Map for free. Onar Premium unlocks the additional capture and personalization features:

Plans:

Prices are shown in the App in your local currency before you buy and may vary by region.

About the free month. The free trial belongs to the annual plan, and the introductory offer can only be used once. If you subscribe monthly first, the free month is no longer available when you later switch to the annual plan — so if you want to try Onar for free, start with the yearly option.

How billing works

How to cancel your subscription

You can cancel a subscription anytime — you keep Premium until the end of the current period:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name (Apple ID) at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap Onar.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription (or Cancel Free Trial) and confirm.

If you don't see the subscription, make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID you used to purchase it. Canceling turns off auto-renewal; your dream entries are never deleted when a subscription ends.

How to restore purchases

Reinstalled the App or switched devices? Open the Premium screen in the App and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID. This also restores a Lifetime purchase at no additional cost.

Refunds

App Store purchases are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID. We are not able to issue App Store refunds directly.

Manage subscription inside the App

You can also open your subscription settings from the Premium screen in Onar (More ▸ Onar Premium).
